Here's a short list of things to do in Barcelona. Barcelona is a city that has so much to offer from historical sites, to amazing architecture. An enchanting seaside city with boundless culture, fabled architecture and a world-class drinking and dining scene. We hope you fall in love as well.
La Sagrada Familia
Antoni Gaudí's renowned unfinished church, started in the 1880s, with museum and city views.
Park Güell
Park with Gaudi's sculptural buildings
Mosaic-covered buildings, steps & sculptures in verdant park with Gaudi museum & panoramic views.
Casa Milà
Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera or "The stone quarry", a reference to its unconventional rough-hewn appearance, is a modernist building in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was the last private residence designed by architect Antoni Gaudí and was built between 1906 and 1912.
Mercado de La Boqueria
The Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, often simply referred to as La Boqueria, is a large public market in the Ciudad Vieja district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, and one of the city's foremost tourist landmarks, with an entrance from La Rambla. You simply have to go!
Montjuïc
Historic site on a hill with a cablecar, harbor views & a park with a castle & museums. Just below Montjuïc lies the lively tapas bars and eateries of Poble Sec, while the up-and-coming neighbourhood of Sant Antoni draws the young and hip. Also home of the The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc!
Camp Nou
Home ground for famous Barcelona football club, with regular matches plus stadium tours and museum.
Barceloneta
Since the late 20th century, Barcelona's formerly industrial waterfront has experienced a dramatic transformation, with sparkling beaches and seaside bars and restaurants, elegant sculptures, a 4.5km-long boardwalk, ultramodern high-rises and yacht-filled marinas. The gateway to the Mediterranean is the gridlike neighbourhood of Barceloneta, an old-fashioned fishing quarter full of traditional seafood restaurants.
Barcelona has some of the most amazing restaurants in the world! We spent so much time eating and drinking our way through the city! Here are a few of our favorites for you to enjoy!
Cal Pep
Special shoutout to Jon Mosier for helping us remember this spot!
It’s getting a foot in the door of this legendary fish restaurant that’s the problem – there can be queues out into the square. And if you want one of the five tables out the back, you’ll need to call ahead. Most people are happy elbowing their way to the bar for some of the tastiest seafood tapas in town. This was our favorite experience by far!
Pasteleria Hofman
If you're in the mood for sweets or amazing baked goods just go! If you aren't in the mood still go and try the mascarpone croissant...thank us later!
El Nacional
El Nacional was a really cool concept with 4 areas, 4 bars and a thousand ways to feed the soul. A great spot for groups and beautiful to experience definitely a place to immerse oneself in local life in the city.
Obviously we love dancing and going out so this section would be amiss without some fun places we discovered and we think you should too!
Jamboree Club
If you're looking for hip hop and r&b in Barcelona this is the place to go. Great music, fun crowd but get there early, it gets packed. It's next to Ocana if you want to grab food or drinks before you go out!
Opium Barcelona Restaurant and Club
Opium is one of the most popular clubs in Barcelona. Even if you aren’t someone who likes nightclubbing if you can a visit to this one is a must.
You’ll find Opium Barcelona situated in an area of the city known as Vila Olimpica. A row of several nightclubs that stay open until 6am...go, party and then watch the sunrise over the ocean...it's a night you'll never forget.
Ocana
A vibrant new restaurant situated in Barcelona's trendy Gothic neighborhood, in the exceptionally lively, Plaza Reial. This is a great place to kick off the evening with dinner and drinks, overlooking a beautiful plaza with a sculptured water fountain and a host of 'entertainers'. Once the clock strikes midnight, the tables move to the side and Ocana transforms into a happening dance club and cocktail bar. A great place for large groups and they even have live music!
