I was in Ibiza, Spain with a few friends celebrating the end of business school, when a close friend, Chasen, recommended we have dinner with a close friend of his, Sade, and her friends. During dinner, we sat apart from one another, but I couldn't stop looking at her...

I met Marlon during dinner in Ibiza, Spain. (Thanks Chasen!) I immediately loved his smile and personality. I never imagined that I would run into him a year later and get butterflies as we danced all night.

So there's some discrepancy in our stories here so I will set the record straight. I was interested in Marlon and he took over two months to FINALLY set up our first date. But my goodness it was worth the wait...after a nerve wracking 4 hour ride to San Diego (where I worried about what to say the entire ride) we spent a perfect weekend surfing, dancing and enjoying dinners and sunset picnics. It was so easy and he was so amazing! At the end of our weekend, I remembered praying " Dear God please let this be him, don't let this guy change because he's perfect!"

2 years later, we're in Paris. I had planned a special weekend for her birthday, champagne tasting in Champagne, dancing in Paris, and eventually a surprise wine tour in Burgundy. During that very tour, I proposed to her on a hill overlooking golden vineyards...a special moment we'll never forget!
